We honor the ancient origins of indigo dye native to India, which was the earliest major center for production and processing of indigo dye. Over the centuries, it spread to Ancient Greece and Rome, and other Asian countries like China and Japan. Indigo eventually reached Europe, with the biggest plantations in Jamaica, Virgin Islands and South Carolina. Its history goes way back and is still as popular as ever.
